[update: FIXED! Took apart the sound bar and disconnected ribbon cable leading to physical buttons on the side. Works from remote perfectly]
Model is: HW-K450 Its hooked up through optical cable to TV, turned it on one day and it started cycling all the inputs: TV,BT,D-IN,HDMI, etc. I could pause it briefly if I push the hard buttons directly on the sound bar. It would work for a min, then back to cycling inputs. Now today it's just stuck on MUTE.
This is sad, I had to do the same with the touch buttons on my blue ray... Samsung has to fix this. Something terribly wrong here.
Glad you got it sorted.
Does it have touch controls or buttons? Samsung touch controls are notorious for dying. This happened on my Blu-ray player.
Buttons. But now nothing works. Neither of the 2 remotes, or hard clicky buttons. And after 2 min of it displaying MUTE, It powers off. And I can't turn it on again unless I unplug it and wait 10 seconds or so
Sounds like a button is stuck either on device or remote. Check it out?
Held down all the hard buttons, wiped them off, reset wireless connection with sub woofer, unplugged that for a few min, took batteries out of remotes, reinstalled, unplugged optical cable, all with same result...
Sorry dude. Don't know
Well thanks for at least replying. It’s sad that it could be junk in just over 1 years time.
Yeah. Seriously. Bummer. Hope you find a solution.
Found this, it has a solution. Boarding a plane. Good luck
Found the solution thru the link you found for me! Disassembled and detached ribbon cable to buttons. Reset with remote. Works well! Thanks again for your time! Safe travels!
........"I think i found the solution. I called Samsung support i was told to use HDMI ARC port. Not every HDMI IS ARC. Then in my SAMSUNG tv i used audio setting to PCI. It has been 3 days since and it's working. Hope this works for you."
