as much as I love ada and Charles brilliant AMA talks, announcing things before release has just not worked out well in the case of ledger. https://mobile.twitter.com/iohk_richard/status/946839349915717632?lang=en
InfinitoWallet have also confirmed they will be updating to allow staking once we get there.
Ada held on exchanges are excluded.
what if you already own a ledger(from 2017)?
or a trezor? will it update and work on it?
Yes to both.
Hopefully we get it soon. The lack of ledger support has kept me from doubling my stack for a while.
I'll be offering laser engraving the cardano logo for the nano 5$+ shipping (you'll have to ship your ledger). Would it be a good idea to add the QR code of the public wallet? And is anyone interested?
We like like Nano Ledgers too!!!!! This moment has been worth every minute of the wait. Keep up the great work Charles. It’s goes without saying, your the hardest working man in crypto!
And now it's a matter of days :)
What does this mean? Can I put ADA on my Ledger now?
My god, just enjoy the tease!
I would expect a proper official statement when you'll be able to store ADA on the Ledger. Also, doesn't seem to be very far away.
Does this mean we can stake claims now? I moved all my Ada to Daedalus wallet in December or January for when that starts.
Will The Staking work sitting in let’s say Binance? Or does the ADA have to be in the Daedalus Wallet?
The coins on exchanges are not your coins.. yoroi daedalus and I have hear cold storage paper wallets as well.
I have no idea. I moved it to Daedalus because a staking tutorial said that was step one, but until cardano actually rolls out staking, we probably won't know the exact process. I just check in from time to time and see if there's any more exact info.
You will not be able to stake from Binance. You will need to move your funds to Daedalus or Yoroi.
