I always turn off the buzzing insect and tool miss sounds. Aside from those I love this mod.
Yeah idk what they were thinking with the buzzing sounds, especially with headphones that shit is unpleasant
Specifically the sound file "gnatt.ogg" is insanely irritating for me. Before this was a config option, I went and jarhacked the mod to no longer have that sound file in it, just to ease my mind.
Many people maybe not know this but in Dynamic Surroundings you can modify, all the sounds of the game and even mods.
If like me, you are accustomed to playing without hearing voices, like those in MineColonies because always used mods where NPCs don't speak with sound but with text, such as Millenaire and/or believe they don't fit in the game, you can switch off all (I think) the voices of the NPCs. Or raise other sounds if you want.
The best part is that you can even turn off the sound from mekanism machines. Those are loud as hell
Oh, wow, that’s cool! I knew you could disable Dynamic Surroundings’ sounds individually, which is to be expected, but I had no clue that you could disable any sounds in the entire game, even ones added by mods!
My favourite part of installing any mod is the customization! You should check other mods too
Does Dynamic Surroundings have echo like the Sound Physics mod?
I think not, but you can use it with sound filters. I don't know of it's updated to 1.12.2 tho
Cool, thanks. I've been looking for a replacement since Sound Physics was abandoned.
Sound filters has reverb, but it's silly nowhere near reality.
I've honestly been wanting to make an acoustics based immersive sound mod for a long time, but I don't have the java skills (yet, I guess). Not sure how Soundfilters processes its reverb, but it MIGHT be possible to change what reverb effect it uses and dial it down a bit.
As far as I'm aware, I think Sound Physics let you manually change how each block reacted to its environment, and in my opinion it sounded great
I just realized this was a thing and I can’t thank you enough for this holy shit, I love you.
The "cull" option is also neat. I use it for the psi casting sound, which gets super loud when spamming spells.
