shut it down! shut it down!
Also I'm honestly surprised that she isn't blonde
shut it down! shut it down!
I wouldn't complain if this came to be. But I think that it might be easier to strip Faux News channel from its news credentials, and relegate it to the tabloid rag that it is.
I am authorized to make the following statement: If you feel silenced by an NDA and need help from a Congressional committee, please contact, or have your attorney contact, the House Judiciary Committee.
I wonder how many people might take @tedlieu up on this offer?
EDIT: added link to the above tweet
easier to strip Faux News channel from its news credentials
"National Enquirer Daily Update"
Well, she's no longer with Fox News , is she?
haha i like this
What REAL implications could this have on Fox News? Would it just be the executives involved? What would they be charged with? People keep saying stripped press credentials, but I don’t see that happening with this administration and The Powers That Be.
If there was ever a time to re-introduce some form of the Fairness Doctrine, now would be ideal.
Can't Fox News run or stop any story they want? Its sleazy certainly but is it really criminal. (I'm hoping you say its criminal).
Illegal campaign contribution, illegal lobbying, conspiricy to defraud the united states to start with.
not really, that wont pass nearly so easily, actually practically, neither of those could pass in a court.
The real question is, are you an attorney?
Are you? I have a legal team and I hang out with mostly people working for law firms. What's with the credentialism?
Those kind of charges are hard to prove. It's obvious to anyone who even dabbled in law. Conspiracy to defraud the US? Are you fucking serious?
You guys (The U S of A) had a clear cut case of illicit campaign donation over Stormy, with evidence and witnesses. How did that go for ya over the course of these 3 past years?
Whatever dude, go ahead and think it's the ultimate smoking gun. I'm just saying, realistically, you need much more to shut down Fox as whole.
I'm a judge and I hereby declare you overruled.
They can run or stop any story they want, but the "why" matters legally.
An analogy would be hiring. I'm a manager, I can hire and fire whoever I want. But, If I never hire black people, that's illegal. Both of those are true at the same time.
The trick than is proving it, as people rarely just say, "I don't hire black people". In this case, there's no doubt this was a newsworthy story, so it's not hard to infer they did it for improper reasons.
Editorial discretion is different than “legal coercion to conceal a crime”...
They can run whatever drivel they want, but if Fox News had her sign an NDA that prevented her from reporting on a crime, seems like there could be a 1st Amendment issue at play. Depends on the language of the NDA and her interactions with those executives about the story and it’s release.
You shouldn’t be allowed to label yourself a “News Organization” if you curtail your own reporters’ 1st Amendment rights. If anything the penalty should be Fox News having to rebrand to “Fox Infotainment” (I’m hoping you say BuT tHaT’s SoCiaLiSm)
People keep saying stripped press credentials, but I don’t see that happening with this administration and The Powers That Be.
Thank god the arch of history is long. While this will undoubtedly not change anyone already brainwashed, those people with thinking brains, will forever be able to point to this and unabashedly say that FOX is not objective. It is not news. It has no baring on what is truthful, and simply can not be trusted.
There is inherit bias in everything, but to think NBC, ABC, or FOX, wouldn't have run headlong deep into exposing anything like this about Obama is laughable. Journalism, real journalism, doesn't give a damn about politics, it wants the truth, no matter how ugly it might be.
I went to high school with her. That's all I have to contribute.
Indict FOX News for Helping Trump defraud America !
Not surprised. A heavily biased "news source" that censors certain things to fit their agenda censoring a reporter on something that doesn't fit their agenda...shocking.
We need more ugly people and outcasts to be reporters. An ugly person would have said "fuck them, I'm gunna feed this to the Post"
I doubt that people as pretty as this girl can deal with not conforming and not being universally loved.
That doesn't say pleasant things about your world view, mate.
Have you experienced the world?
At least in America there is a different world available for the ultra attractive and it does not teach free thought. The saddest people I have ever met are the women who used to be hot and used to get everything they want, they never developed any other traits.
You don’t sound too happy yourself, mate
Do you remember when ugly people made popular music? Music was better then
Have an upvote because you raise a good point that’s often brought up.
To follow your comment: Or rather, you didn’t have to be pretty to get a record deal?
But it helped. It always helped.
Elvis, Jim Morrison, Paul McCartney - all pretty boys - the list goes on.
The Monkees had pretty boy front man, and they were a manufactured band.
That was fifty, sixty years ago, It’s not a new phenomenon.
Whats really important to remember, and this is vital - we don’t remember the shit music of yesteryear.
Only the good stuff has lasted because it was so damn good.
In decades to come, people will remember the good music and say the same thing about today’s music.
There was shit music then and there were pretty musicians but you didn't find autotune acts top to bottom on the charts. There was a lot of great music and I have a hard time finding good new stuff.
What about the decision to leak sensitive information to a competitor is...unique to an unattractive person?
There is something about social ostracism that makes a person question the status quo
This has less to do with how attractive someone is and their view of right and wrong. And how they interact with their coworkers, superiors, etc.
Studies have shown only a loose correlation with appearance, and you're saying it's the be-all-end-all.
I was making a point, not saying it was the only possible factor.
Take a look at Fox news. The women were litterally 1. Chosen for their looks 2. Excluded if they weren't willing to litteraly fuck management.
You don't think that this has no effect on editorial decisions?
I'M BACK BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really missed you guys.
Edit: just want to say thank you.
